Which Methods are available at the Nitrion GmbH Plant in Bavaria, Germany?

We have macro- as well as microscope units with camera attachment. Surfaces of work pieces that may not be destroyed for test purposes get analyzed by replica technology.

With the BMW Heat Treatment Department within the Nitrion Garching plant we can employ such extended analyzing methods such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Glow Discharge Spectroscopy (GDOS) and Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES).
Material composition we can analyze with our Optical Vacuum Emission Spectrometry Unit.

When is an analysis helpful, when is one required?

In case of

• insufficient hardness after heat treatment
• undue material wear and tear
• a need to determine the nature of cracks
• a work piece failure
• in case of materials being mixed up
• the need to determine the nature of surface coatings, etc..
